THINK COMMUNITY

The LGBTIQ DIRECTORY is a community-focused project, proudly produced by FUSE Magazine. It is our aim to encourage and promote rich and fulfilling lives in our community through this resource.

THINK INCLUSIVE

LGBTIQ.DIRECTORY has been created in response to the identification that LGBTIQA+ people needed a community-led inclusion portal to find support, community and business pathways.

LGBTIQA+ Lifestyle & Wellbeing

Acceptance = Happier LGBTIQ people

If an individual's sexual orientation is accepted by society, studies show they will be happier and more satisfied with their life. In recent years LGBTIQA+ rights have improved dramatically, but there is still work to be done.

SUPER MOVES FOR A STRONG FUTURE

Superannuation changes are approaching, but the current financial year still offers a window to act under existing rules. With contribution caps increasing, new payment systems on the way, and tax changes for higher balances, what you do before 30 June can directly affect both your tax position and long-term savings.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE

Domestic and family violence (DFV) does not discriminate. It can happen to anyone, regardless of sexuality, gender, or background. For LGBTIQA+ communities, the statistics are alarming and yet remain under-recognised.

DOMESTIC, FAMILY AND INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE: A FAMILY LAW PERSPECTIVE

Understanding domestic, family and intimate partner violence from a family law perspective is an important part of addressing domestic violence and protecting victim-survivors within LGBTIQA+ communities.

USING SIMPLE ART PRACTICES TO QUITE YOU MIND

Simple art practices like doodling, drawing, and mindful coloring can be effective tools for quieting the mind and promoting relaxation. These practices encourage mindfulness, focus, and a connection with the present moment, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

EVOLVING WEDDING TRADITIONS

As a wedding celebrant, I was very interested to see what would happen in terms of the number of people looking to get married and what impact, if any, the plebiscite had on what a modern ceremony looks like.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A ASEXUAL PERSON?

Asexuality is a sexual orientation defined by a lack of sexual attraction to any person of any gender. This has nothing to do with the person's libido or desire to participate in sexual activities.
