Canberra
Hosted by Capital Region Community Services (CRCS), Bit Bent is a drop-in service and social support group for same-sex attracted and sex- and gender-diverse young people and allies in the Canberra region. We provide a welcoming environment for you to be yourself.
Bit Bent understand that it can be challenging to find acceptance and support, which is why Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) is here to provide a welcoming environment for you to be yourself at the Belconnen Youth Centre in Canberra.
Whether you’re looking for resources, connections or simply a place to hang out and be with like-minded individuals, Bit Bent has got you covered.
Bit Bent is a safe space for LGBTIQA+ young people and allies of the LGBTIQA+ community to socialise and make new friends. Drop in and be a part of our community today; no registrations required. Our weekly groups are participant-led, with activities based on group member’s interests.
Through Bit Bent, CRCS provide the space, supervision and support for young people to meet peers outside of their regular school and social settings.
Since its inception around 20 years ago, Bit Bent has provided a culturally safe, participant-led space for LGBTIQA+ young people aged 10 to 25 and their allies.
To facilitate developmentally appropriate, safe conversation and effective sharing of experiences.
Bit Bent offer two age cohorts for Bit Bent, both on Thursday afternoons.
At times, Bit Bent facilitate events and activities for both age cohorts together, and these events are more meaningful when the participants are familiar with each other.
CRCS provides a wide range of high quality, integrated and inclusive programs and services to individuals, families, children and young people in the Belconnen and wider Capital Region. CRCS works with community members, local organisations and businesses to develop responsive programs, services and activities that support self determination and reduce social isolation. Strong relationships with government and other community services enhance CRCS’s capacity to achieve our vision of an inclusive, connected community.
