PFLAG Capital Region
PFLAG-ACT is part of a national and international peer support group for parents, friends, and allies of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, and intersex (LGBTI) people.
At present, the LGBTI community is one of the last minority groups in Australia that lives with discrimination, inquality and injustice on an almost daily basis. While much progress has been made in recent years, there is still more work to be done.
As the parents and friends of LGBTI people, we want the best for them. And to have truly fulfilling lives, it is important that LGBTI people are able to live their lives with honesty and integrity — and without discrimination, ostracism or abuse.
