Contentious Character Vineyard Estate

Contentious Character is a contemporary vineyard estate with winery, cellar door, and a kitchen restaurant, all working together to create your characterful day out, special event or magical wedding.

Just a short 30min drive from Canberra, we offer a unique dining and tasting experience with our extensive range of aged vintages, from our Founders Museum collection.

These aged wines have matured exceptionally well with cellaring and now present a mellow complexity, way beyond their value. They are complemented by the new releases of recent vintages, under the Contentious Character brand.

Look across the vineyard and surrounding countryside, while our kitchen serves up a fresh, local, sharing menu, including wood-fired dishes, and charcuterie, all paired with the wines. That’s hardly contentious!
