Eye Candy Optical

Many Canberrans wear spectacles and sunglasses and we think it is about time you had somewhere other than [better than] Sydney or Melbourne to shop for interesting eyewear.

At Eye Candy Optical we like to challenge the boring conformity of the established chains and offer something that you won’t necessarily find anywhere else. Our collections are all handpicked from the very best optical designers locally and around the world.

We have a large range of shapes, styles, colours, materials and finishes. What all our brands have in common is design, quality and craftsmanship but most of all they excite us. We have learnt that if our eyewear does not excite us it won’t excite you. We enjoy helping our clients to find the perfect frame and we always give an honest opinion. We like to think that we are pretty good at what we do and take pride in the fact that we will help you choose a frame to fit well, flatter and enhance your image.

Your Eye Candy eye examination includes advanced diagnostic tools such as retinal photography and OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) along with highly experienced and friendly optometrists. Our approach to optometry is a holistic one which covers not only prescribing glasses and checking your vision but also monitoring the health of your eyes.

We also have a fireplace and we can make pretty good coffee too.

Eye Candy is located in the Mode 3 building on Lonsdale St Braddon, next to Debacle (hopefully not your experience on visiting our store!)
